UNFOLDING

A collaboration with Nudie Jeans

In my denim project I was inspired by Zen Buddhist Monks and their way of living. 
I was especially interested in their outfit and specifically the “Rakusu” which symbolizes the buddhist robe, only in a folded version that doesn’t open back up to the original.
The Zen Monks believe in being fully committed, both mind and soul to a specific task. That inspired me to give the costumer the option to give their outfit their own unique taste and values. To think through the dressing part, and be able to wear it in many different ways.
In order to receive an unconventional silhouette I folded up different Jeans items. That allowed me to give many different options to one garment.
