ACTIVE WEAR

In this project I was inspired by my Mother’s unique life. My Mother was born in Morocco and moved to Jerusalem with her family at a young age, though still keeping the Moroccan tradition.
At the age of eighteen, my Mother chose to join a group of young soldiers to build a community with shared values, called Kibbutz.
In my design I wanted to combine her two, very different lifestyles.
I created all the prints myself and printed them in an Oeko-Tex certified method. I combined Moroccan symbols with colors that contradict the traditional ones in order to convey the difference between my Mother’s different lifestyles.
